TENSE phase protection relay - adjustable asymmetry 5-50 %
The phase protection relay from TENSE (Turkey) is designed to protect three-phase electric motors and other three-phase equipment against faults in the power supply network. The device monitors the correct phase sequence, phase asymmetry, under- and overvoltage and ensures safe disconnection of the load when the set limits are exceeded.
The wide range of settings makes the relay suitable for most industrial and commercial applications, especially where precise and stable motor protection is required.
Main features
-
Phase sequence control - protection against incorrect wiring.
-
Adjustable asymmetry: 5% - 50%.
-
Adjustable undervoltage: 260-360 V AC.
-
Adjustable overvoltage: 400-480 V AC.
-
Adjustable fault delay time (Err In): 1-30 s.
-
Adjustable reset time (Err OUT): 1-30 s.
-
Clear indication on 3×3 segment display.
-
High accuracy and fast response to network faults.
-
Mounting on standard DIN rail.
Operating principles
Normal operation
If all phase voltages are within limits and the phase sequence is correct:
-
will switch off the relay,
-
The OUT LED lights up.
High voltage fault (H)
-
If the phase exceeds the set limit → Err In time is pending, H is displayed.
-
The relay switches off, OUT turns off.
-
When 5 V below the set value, Err OUT starts running, relay turns on again.
Low voltage fault (L)
-
Drop below the set limit → Err In waits, L is displayed.
-
The relay is switched off.
-
When the voltage rises 5 V above the threshold → Err OUT waits, the relay switches on.
Phase asymmetry (Asy)
-
If the voltage difference between phases exceeds the set threshold (5-50%):
-
ASy is displayed after the Err In time, the relay is deactivated.
-
-
When the asymmetry is lower than (set threshold - 2%) → wait time Err OUT, the relay is activated.
Phase sequence risk (pH's)
-
When a phase sequence risk occurs, the relay waits for Err In and then displays pHs.
-
The relay switches off and remains off until the correct sequence is restored.
-
After the phase sequence is corrected, Err OUT occurs and the relay is activated.
