Product description

The SSR-09 relay from Tense is a modern device designed for automatic water level control in boilers, storage tanks, and heaters.
It ensures a reliable water supply, timely pump shutdown, and above all, effective protection of the electric heating element against dry running.

The device uses capacitive electrodes to monitor the water level and automatically controls the pump and heating element based on the current tank situation.

Operating principle

The SSR-09 operates with two electrodes in the tank:

1. Lower electrode (min. level)

   • If the water level falls below this electrode, the relay activates the pump and starts pumping water.

2. The upper electrode (max. level)

   • When the upper level is reached, the relay automatically switches off the pump.

3. Protective electrode at the heating element

   • If there is no water at the heating element, the relay switches off the power to the heating element to prevent overheating.

This intelligent logic ensures safe and economical operation of the entire system.

Installation and connection

• Mounting on standard DIN rail in the enclosure.

• For stable operation, the manufacturer recommends using conductors of at least 2.5 mm².
