Phase control relay FKV-11 | TENSE

The FKV-11 phase control relay is designed to protect three-phase equipment against major faults in the power grid - specifically phase distortion (phase reversal), phase failure, and phase asymmetry. The relay ensures reliable operation of electric motors, pumps, compressors, and other three-phase equipment.

The model has a fixed asymmetry of 30% and is designed for installation on a single DIN rail.

How the FKV-11 relay works (operating algorithm)

Normal operation

• All three phase voltages are present.

• The phases are connected in the correct order.

• Voltage is within the allowed range.

• Contacts 2-3 are switched, LED OUT → output active.

Asymmetry or voltage deviation

• If the voltage of one phase exceeds by more than 30% changes, or if the sum of the multidirectional value changes exceeds this limit:

  • the ASM-LED (asymmetry indication) will light up,

  • contacts 2-3 are disconnected,

  • contacts 1-2 are switched on,

  • LED OUT turns off.

Return to normal

• When the voltage returns to the allowed range,

• the relay will reactivate the output and the contacts will switch back to 2-3 closed.
