Digital overcurrent relay with LED display 3×3 digits TRM-50

The TRM-50 digital overload relay is designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while controlling operation.

Use of the device and operating principle

1. Connect the device according to the attached wiring diagram.
2. Once the wiring is complete, connect the power supply. After switching on, the display shows the set values for 5 seconds.
3. Use the "A>" controller to set the overload value. The set value is displayed on the left display.
4. Use the "t" control to set the delay time. The set value is also displayed on the left display.

When the device is switched on:

• The relay switches on, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
• If the current exceeds the set overload value (A>), the device counts down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
• When the time has elapsed, the relay switches off, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator goes off.

The electronic current relay of the TRM-50 series is designed to automatically disconnect consumers when the maximum allowed current is exceeded. It has a programmable cutoff range, cutoff time, and reverse cutoff settings. There are 3 modes to return to the "operational" status - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTO, AUTO.

Reset modes

• Manual mode: Press the reset button to reset the device after overload. The corresponding LED lights up.
• Semi-automatic mode: This allows the device to automatically reset the system three times in case of overload and then wait for a manual reset on the next fault. The corresponding LED lights up.
• Automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system whenever an overload fault occurs. The corresponding LED lights up.

Note: Hold the selection button for 10 seconds to change the mode. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED lights up.

Current asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the highest and lowest current in the phases is greater than 50%, the device switches to asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds (prevents damage to the system when one phase fails).

When an asymmetry fault occurs:

• The group displays of the two phases that caused the fault flash and the ERR indicator lights up.
• A manual reset is required to exit the asymmetry fault mode.
