Application and operating principle of the device

Connect the device according to the wiring diagram. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram. After switching on, the display shows the set values for 5 seconds.

- Use the controller "A>" to set the overcurrent value . The set value is displayed on the left display.
- Use the controller "t" to set the delay time . The set value is also displayed on the left display.

When the device is powered, the relay is energized, switches the output contact to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up. If the current exceeds the set overcurrent value (A>), the device starts counting down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up. After the time has elapsed, the relay switches off, the contact switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator goes out.

The TRM-12 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically switch off devices when the maximum allowed current is exceeded, with programmable cutoff range, cutoff time, and return time settings.
There are also 3 modes for returning to the "operational" status - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTOMATIC, AUTOMATIC.

Reset modes:

- Manual mode: After an overcurrent fault, the device must be reset by pressing the reset button. In this mode, the corresponding LED is lit.
- Semi-automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system three times when an overcurrent fault occurs and then waits for a manual reset when another fault occurs. In this mode, the corresponding LED blinks.
- Automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system every time an overcurrent fault occurs. In this mode, the corresponding LED blinks.

Note: Hold the selection button for 10 seconds to change the mode. When the mode is changed, the corresponding LED will light up.

Asymmetry 50% (fixed)

If the difference between the largest and smallest phase current is greater than 50%, the device switches to asymmetry fault mode within 2 seconds.
(During the operation of the motor, this prevents damage to the system in the event of a single phase failure).

During an asymmetry fault:
- The display group of the two phases that caused the fault flashes and the ERR indicator lights up.
- If the current is less than 2 A, the device does not check for asymmetry.
- To exit the asymmetry fault mode, the device must be manually reset.
