Load monitoring/limiting relay, 3-phase, range 290-400 A, manufacturer TENSE (Turkey)

The TRM-400 digital overload relay is designed to protect loads from damage caused by high currents while controlling operation.

  • 290-400 A (adjustable overload value)
  • Adjustable fault delay time
  • Adjustable operating mode (automatic, semi-automatic, manual)
  • When you buy a TENSE current relay, you get a ready-to-use device - current transformers are included.

Use of the device and operating principle

  1. Connect the device according to the attached wiring diagram.
  2. Once the wiring is complete, connect the power supply. After turning on, the display shows the set values for 5 seconds.
  3. Use the "A>" controller to set the overload value. The set value is displayed on the left display.
  4. Use the "t" control to set the delay time. The set value is also displayed on the left display.

When the device is switched on:

  • The relay switches on, the output contact switches to terminal 3, and the OUT indicator lights up.
  • If the current exceeds the set overload value (A>), the device counts down the delay time and the ERR indicator lights up.
  • After the set time has elapsed, the relay switches off the contact, switches to terminal 1, and the OUT indicator turns off.

The TRM-400 series electronic current relay is designed to automatically shut off consumers when the maximum allowable current is exceeded. It has a programmable shutdown range and the ability to set the shutdown time and inverse shutdown time. There are 3 modes to return to the "working" state - MANUAL, SEMI-AUTO, AUTO.

Reset modes

  • Manual mode: To reset the device after an overload, the reset button must be pressed. In this mode, the corresponding LED will light up.
  • Semi-automatic mode: This allows the device to automatically reset the system three times in case of overload and then wait for a manual reset on the next fault. The corresponding LED lights up.
  • Automatic mode: The device automatically resets the system whenever an overload fault occurs. The corresponding LED lights up.

Note: Hold the selection button for 10 seconds to change the mode. When the mode is changed, the corresponding light will turn on.
