Control unit for single-phase submersible pump up to 4 kW, 150 V-270 V AC, 30 A, Tense Art. no.: MDK-03 Electrodes (liquid level sensors) not included
The new MDK-03 control unit from Tense is designed to protect single-phase submersible pumps from all possible issues that may occur during use, such as overvoltage and surges, lack of water in the well or borehole, and pump overload. With the built-in functions, you can also monitor the reservoir fill level, set time delays for emergencies, monitor surge currents, and remotely turn the system on and off.
Technical information: Operating voltage: 150-270 VAC. Frequency: 50 Hz Current range: 1-30 A Power consumption: <6 W Liquid sensitivity: <50 kOhm Protection class: IP20 Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +55 °C Cable cross-section: Max. 10 mm², electrodes up to 2.5 mm² Weight: 0.25 kg Installation altitude: less than 2000 m
Operation of the controller
Read the chapter "Important!" before connecting the device. Connect the sensors and the pump phase wire to the device according to the wiring diagram on the datasheet, then connect the power supply. Check if the factory settings of the device match the operating parameters of your pump. If necessary, the following parameters can be changed:
(P1) - Maximum allowable voltage (230...270 V, factory setting 245 V)
(P2) - Maximum allowable current (1...20 A, factory setting 5 A)
(P3) - Minimum allowable voltage (150...210 V, factory setting 160 V)
(P4) - Minimum allowable current (1...20 A, factory setting 0 A)
(P5) - Fault response delay (0...850 s, factory setting 2 s)
(P6) - Time for automatic reset after power failure (OFF...850 s, factory setting OFF)
(P7) - Current multiplier for startup interval (1...10, factory setting 3) (P8) - Startup interval time (0...850 s, factory setting 10 s)
(P9) - Number of automatic resets of the current fault after which the device goes into emergency mode and operator intervention is required (VYP....200, factory setting VYP)
(P10) - Delay time for upper sensor response (longer delay means the pump switches on less often, extending its lifespan) (0....850 min, factory setting 0 s min)
(P11) - Indicates whether the electrodes are underwater: if the value is less than 230, there is water (red display indicates the upper electrode, yellow display indicates the lower electrode)
(P12) - Programs the memory of the last state of the controller for shutdown (0...1, factory setting 1)
After the first connection to the power supply, the device waits 4 seconds, then analyzes the network parameters and their compliance with the set parameters, checks if there is water in the well, if there is space in the storage tank, and if the controller is in "START" mode (green "START" indicator is on), it switches on the control contacts and the top green "pump" indicator lights up. The displays show the current voltage and current values.
Press the START button to enter this mode.
Press the STOP button to enter this mode. In this mode, the device does not perform control and does not start the pump. Also note that if you plan to use the level relay without the float sensor and the external switch, you must place jumpers on the "ON-OFF" and "FLATOR" terminals; otherwise, the control will not work or will not work properly.
Important!!! Read this chapter before connecting the device:
- The submersible pump controller must be connected according to the wiring diagram in the product information sheet.
- Ensure that the fluid pumped by the pump is not flammable or explosive.
- The temperature at the controller installation point must be above 0 °C.
- Never apply voltage to the controller inputs to connect the float sensor.
|
- Make sure the pump house is grounded, otherwise the pump control may be damaged.
