Automatischer Stern-Dreieck-Schalter - Stern-Dreieck-Zeitrelais sind für den Einsatz beim Anlauf von Drehstrommotoren konzipiert. Wenn die Spule erregt wird, schaltet es auf Sternschaltung um, um den Motor zu starten. Der Stern bleibt für eine bestimmte Zeit angeschlossen und geht dann in den Standby-Modus. Nach der Wartezeit kann auf Dreieckschaltung umgeschaltet werden. Dies sorgt für Effizienz, indem der Strom reduziert wird, der von Motoren mit hohem Leistungsbedarf beim Starten aufgenommen wird.

Das Zeitrelais wird auf einer Standard-DIN-Schiene von 35 mm montiert.
